Artist Ted DeGrazia's Wild Horses - Jul 19,2013

Nancy Reid & Lisa Smith – Big Blend Radio hosts and publishers of BigBlendMagazines.com, chat with Lance Laber, Executive Director of the DeGrazia Foundation and DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun, a 10-acre historic district in the foothills of Tucson's Santa Catalina Mountains. Designed and built from the ground up by Arizona artist Ettore “Ted” DeGrazia, who achieved worldwide acclaim for his colorful paintings of native cultures of the Sonoran desert, the gallery is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and included on the National Geographic Map Guide of the Sonoran Desert.Lance will discuss Ted DeGrazia's life and art, plus the exhibits currently on display in the gallery, and the upcoming new exhibit "DeGrazia's Wild Horses.” One of DeGrazia's favorite subjects is celebrated in this new exhibit. Ranging from moody to exuberant and from realistic to abstract, many of the fifty paintings, drawings and watercolors featured have not been previously exhibited.
